What is a Pardon (Record Suspension)?

A pardon, also known as a record suspension, seals a person’s criminal history permanently effectively erasing it. This means a federal criminal record check will return a clean record without old convictions. A pardon is granted though an application to the Parole Board of Canada.

Why Should I Apply Now?

The fee for a pardon has just dropped to $50 from $658. This means pardon applications will begin to flood the Parole Board of Canada. It’s strictly a first come first served process that can not be speed up. You never know when you will need a pardon.

Apply Before You Need A DUI Pardon

Changing jobs, applying for a promotion, or travel can all become reasons for needing a pardon. Pardons take time to process so getting started before you need one will save a lot of grief when you suddenly need a pardon.
